Li’ s work often incorporates sound, found materials, movements, text, and experimental scores, through which Li exemplifies serendipitous encounters between individuals and their environment, reflecting upon the tacitness and the transience of existential occurrence. With a background in violin and piano, their sound-making process also includes tapes, theremin, a diverse range of string instruments, field recordings, contact microphones, synthesizers, as well as designing and making their own instruments.
