前上海獨立樂隊DaHaHa在2017年推出了*張專輯《打口Radio》，包含了他們對中國音樂的洞察和見解。打口（Da Kou）文化——cut out；打折或積壓的 LP 在唱片的一角上被打了孔/切口——打口唱片在搖滾樂在中國的傳播中發揮了關鍵作用。曾經，打口作為中國樂迷聽到外國音樂的*途徑，代表了本土文化與全球文化之間對立的消解”。
DaHaHa樂隊所有依然留在中國的樂手，目前活躍于 Round Eye、Deku這幾個樂隊中。他們和Trash Panda將于 1 月 14 日，星期五，在育音堂（凱旋店）帶來怪咖朋克、獨立搖滾和泥漿般的愉悅。這個夜晚的DJ將由本地的 lo-fi beatmaker Arthur 提供。三支樂隊將給你呈現一場名為”打口 (Da Kou) Radio: vol. 3“的演出，滿足你內心*黑暗深處的欲望。
Former Shanghai indie band DaHaHa prefaced their first album in 2017 with this insight into music in China: “The 打口 (Da Kou) culture - cut out; deeply discounted or remaindered LP's with holes punched through portions of the disk- played a crucial roll in the spread of Rock and Roll through China. At one time, the only source of foreign music, it stands for erasing the binaries between local and global cultures”.
Trash Panda、Between Round Eye, Deku, all former members of that band remaining in China will be bringing freak-punk, indie rock, and sludge delights to YYT Kaixuan on Friday, January 14th. Beats will be provided by local lo-fi beatmaker arthur. Thus, this night will bring 打口 (Da Kou) Radio: vol. Three to satisfy your darkest desires.
這幫實驗怪咖朋克樂隊自2012年組建以來獲得了響亮而別致的名聲。這個上海的團隊在音樂創作中斗志滿滿、堅韌不拔，更是成為了架起東西半球的朋克搖滾之間橋梁的中堅力量。他們一邊在全球各地進行了精彩的巡演，一邊在中國大陸多次巡演并接待到了許多到訪演出的西方團結和音樂巨擘，與他們進行合作或同臺演出。他們曾與Descendents、The Fleshtones、MDC、Verbal Abuse、Mike Watt + The Missingmen、D.O.A.、 The FUs、The Boys (UK)、Paul Collins Beat、Twink、Ceremony、Iceage和一些西方大咖例如P.K.14、SMZB、SUBS、Hang on the Box（掛在盒子上）等。
他們曾連續兩年榮獲上海的《城市周刊》雜志“*本地樂隊”頭銜。同時他們錄制發布了許多備受好評的音樂視頻：《Sutan》——由中國知名女演員王雪琴（雪姨）參演，她由于在《情深深雨蒙蒙》以及李安的獲獎作品《色戒》中的精彩演出被大眾熟知。以政治為主題的《Billy》和《Shifter》兩支視頻全程拍攝于北朝鮮平壤市，成為歷史上首次在北朝鮮拍攝的朋克音樂視頻。
Round Eye參演過世界各地的音樂節，他們的音樂風格混合了50年代的R&B，自由爵士和朋克，他們與Greg Ginn（Black Flag樂手）合作錄制。2014年由Ripping Records發行了飽受爭議和贊譽的EP《Full Circle。2016年發行的LP《Round Eye》參與的大牌更多，他們與Steve Macay（Iggy Pop & The Stooges，Violent Femmes樂手）以及Lo-Fi傳奇R. Stevie Moore進行合作。2016年由Sudden Death Records發行LP《Monstervison》，其中的一部分由P.K.14的楊海松錄制于北京，一部分由李偉宇錄制于上海并由《The Daily Show》的恐怖電影脫口秀主持Joe Bob Briggs敘述。
他們的新專輯《Culture Shock Treatment》由Minutemen的MikeWatt擔任制作人，由來自Black Flag、Descen和ALL的Bill Stevenson混音，并由Vicent Fiorello(Less Than Jake樂手)和Plastick Records發行。他們為這張專輯付出了很多努力，并將主題放在了他們的大本營——中華人民共和國上。
Round Eye經常被與The Stooges，Captain Beefheart，Dr. Feelgood，The Fall和Butthole Suffers相提并論，但是他們*后還是會被認為是獨樹一幟，別具一格。本夏他們原計劃在歐洲、日本、中國以及英國Rebellion音樂節巡演，但是由于新型冠狀病毒流感，他們的行程推遲到了2021年。今年，讓我們期待一下他們的新專輯《Culture Shock Treatment》，兩支新的音樂視頻和在中國內地的演出。
