Twinkle
開啟法國Dub音樂新浪潮。
Julien和Fabrice Oresta，著名DUB樂隊High Tone的創始成員，帶來了他們全新的電子Dub副項目——Twinkle！這對遠見卓識的雙胞胎兄弟再次站在了他們自己創造的舞臺中央，首張專輯計劃于2024年秋季通過Jarring Effects唱片公司發行。在現場演出中，二人將帶領我們踏上一段充滿沖擊力的音樂之旅，完美融合了音頻和視覺的多個維度。
經過與High Tone一同度過的25年音樂奮斗，這對兄弟并未打算止步于此。畢竟，音樂早已成為他們生活的一部分。三十多年來，他們一直共同聆聽、演奏并探索音樂。Aku Fen（Julien）和Fabasstone（Fabrice）認為，生活中無法沒有音樂，而Twinkle的誕生，正是他們藝術旅程中自然而然的延續。
Twinkle在過去、現在和未來之間架起了一座永恒的橋梁，承諾帶來一場引人入勝且富有創新性的音樂冒險。Twinkle意味著“閃爍”，它象征著星星的光芒——承載著過去的信息，同時也代表著他們面向未來的數字化音樂之閃爍。而“twin”這一詞根則喚起了雙胞胎的概念，這種二元性在他們的音頻與視覺雙重表現中得到了完美體現，成為項目本質的象征。
專輯中的10首曲目將帶領我們穿越電子與夢幻的音景。Twinkle大膽探索了Techno和Dub共享相同“基因”的概念，同時也在創作中大膽嘗試不同的路徑。通過將這兩種當代音樂的主要流派結合，Twinkle揭示了他們音樂DNA的精髓。Techno和Dub這兩種音樂形式提供了一種獨特的“重復性”音樂體驗，源自電子樂器的普及和家庭工作室的崛起。這正是Twinkle的承諾：強勁的Dub低音、富有民族色彩的音色與迷幻旋律的升騰，所有這些元素共同帶來一種解放性和凈化性的迷幻氛圍。為了讓他們的音樂世界更具意義，Twinkle邀請了具有社會責任感和承諾的歌手加入其中。
在Twinkle的幕后，Aku Fen負責音樂制作（Musique Assistée par Ordinateur）、MIDI控制器和合成器，共同玩轉音頻的每個層次。而Fabasstone則代表了二人組合中的模擬風格，為音樂加入了更多Dub和有機音色。他還負責音頻、燈光與視頻的互動，打造沉浸式的整體體驗。
事實上，兄弟倆并非首次涉足這種跨領域的創作。從90年代末期起，他們便是High Tone樂隊音/光/視頻三重奏的先鋒人物，最近他們還通過OOYM項目，帶來了360度聲音與視覺體驗，該項目已在法國和歐洲的多個天文館展出。如今，他們再次推出了一種前所未見的音響投影裝置，結合了聲光互動效果，在電子音樂領域中堪稱獨特。
2024年4月26日，Twinkle首個單曲《Arkology》發布，正式拉開了四首單曲系列的序幕，預示著即將到來的“音樂海嘯”！專輯將在2024年10月25日以黑膠、CD和數字格式正式發行。

A New Wave of French Dub Music.
Julien and Fabrice Oresta, founding members of the legendary dub band High Tone, introduce their exciting new electro-dub side project—Twinkle! These visionary twin brothers return to the stage they themselves forged, with a debut album set to release in autumn 2024 through the Jarring Effects label. In their live performances, they will lead us on a powerful musical journey, seamlessly blending multiple dimensions of sound and visuals.
After 25 years of musical pursuit with High Tone, the brothers had no intention of stopping there. Music has long been an integral part of their lives. For over thirty years, they have been listening, playing, and exploring music together. Aku Fen (Julien) and Fabasstone (Fabrice) believe life cannot exist without music, and Twinkle is a natural continuation of their artistic journey.
Twinkle bridges the past, present, and future with a timeless connection, promising a captivating and innovative musical adventure. The name Twinkle refers to the shimmering light of stars—carrying messages from the past—while also symbolizing the digital sparkle of their music, aimed toward the future. The root "twin" evokes the idea of duality, perfectly embodied in the duo's dual expression of sound and visuals, representing the very essence of the project.
The 10 tracks on the album guide us through electronic, dreamy soundscapes. Twinkle boldly explores the concept that techno and dub share the same "genetic" DNA while taking daring paths in their creation. By merging these two major currents of contemporary music, Twinkle reveals the essence of their musical DNA. Techno and dub offer a unique "repetitive" musical experience, born from the democratization of electronic instruments and the rise of the home studio. This is the promise of Twinkle: powerful dub basslines, ethnic-infused sounds, and soaring psychedelic melodies that together create a liberating, cathartic trance atmosphere. To add deeper meaning to their musical world, Twinkle collaborates with socially conscious and committed singers.
Behind the scenes of Twinkle, Aku Fen oversees music production (Musique Assistée par Ordinateur), working with MIDI controllers and synthesizers to explore every layer of audio. Fabasstone brings the analog side to life, adding dub and organic tones to their music. He also manages the interaction between sound, light, and video, creating an immersive overall experience.
In fact, this is not the first time the brothers have ventured into cross-disciplinary creation. Since the late 1990s, they have been pioneers of the sound/light/video triptych with High Tone. Recently, they impressed audiences with the OOYM project, a 360° audio-visual experience showcased in planetariums across France and Europe. Now, they are introducing a unique sound projection device, enhanced by light interaction effects, which sets a new standard in the electronic music field.
On April 26, 2024, Twinkle will release its first single, Arkology, marking the beginning of a four-single series that leads to the upcoming “musical tsunami”! The full album will be released on October 25, 2024, in vinyl, CD, and digital formats.

K not K（全名Karpov not Kasparov）是東歐最具創新力的音樂輸出之一。該樂隊的音樂創作靈感來源于國際象棋的規則與策略。盡管這一概念可能顯得復雜，但他們的作品總是極具舞動感，充滿了讓人躍動的節奏。音樂中融入了一些古典元素和豐富的東方風味（因為國際象棋源自東方），同時又擁有強勁的舞池低音，能讓你忍不住跳躍與吶喊。
然而，這支樂隊的演出遠不止于音樂。你很可能會看到舞蹈演員登上舞臺，或是某種戲劇性的表現形式。有時，音樂還會作為前衛無聲電影的現場配樂，甚至成為觀眾參與國際象棋對弈的音軌。
過去8年里，K not K在44個歐洲國家中的38個國家的俱樂部及文化舞臺上演出，參與了多個音樂節，如Nuits Sonores、Printemps de Bourges、Fusion、Electric Castle、Untold、Telekom Electronic Beats、Eurosonic、Tallin Music Week、Ment、Sinsal、Stereoleto等。曾與GusGus、Underworld、AltinGun、Poni Hoax等著名樂隊同臺演出。
他們的首張專輯《Soundtrack for a Game of Chess》曾被《Vice Magazine》評為“本月專輯”，并被羅馬尼亞文化電臺Radio Romania Cultural評為“年度最具價值的發行之一”。

2021年K not K發行的EP《Memory》在BBC 6電臺播放，并宣布全長專輯于2022年發布。
One of Eastern Europe’s finest musical exports, K not K (formally known as Karpov not Kasparov) makes optimistic-electronic music inspired by the game of chess. It might sound complicated, but the output is always a very danceable tune with a powerful bass-driven sound that makes you jump.
K not K has performed at festivals like Nuits Sonores, Printemps de Bourges, Fusion, Electric Castle, Untold, Telekom Electronic Beats, Eurosonic, Tallin MusicWeek, Ment, Sinsal, Stereoleto alongside artists like GusGus, Underworld, AltinGun, Poni Hoax etc.
Their debut EP ‘Soundtrack for a Game of Chess’ was named 'Album of the Month' by Vice Magazine and called “one of the most valuable releases of the year” by Radio Romania Cultural. The release ‘The Vocal Edits’ was declared Best Romanian Electronic Release of 2016 by Scena9.ro and named “the best Romanian album of its genre in the last 30 years" by Muzici&Faze.
