Dale Kerrigan 是一支來自新西蘭奧塔哥大區達尼?。è璽epoti）的四人噪音搖滾樂隊。樂隊名稱取自澳大利亞邪典喜劇電影《The Castle》，正如片名所暗示的那樣，他們既自嘲又難以被歸類（或被網絡檢索到）。

由主唱兼吉他手 Shlee Nicholls 領銜，成員包括 Joel Field（吉他/和聲）、Connor Blackie（貝斯）和 Josh Nicholls（鼓手），Dale Kerrigan 的音樂是一場噪音、垃圾、盯鞋、后硬核和情緒搖滾的猛烈撞擊 —— 將達尼丁客廳中的霉味能量與南島冬日的憂郁情緒，傾注進屬于他們獨特的聲音語言中。

他們是達尼丁地下音樂宇宙的“瑰寶”。樂隊誕生于 2021 年本地 DIY 空間 The Attic 和 Spaceland 的工業殘響中，與獨立廠牌 trace / untrace 社群緊密相連，成員還活躍于十余支樂隊之中，如 Koizilla、Pearly*、Denudes、Flesh Bug、bathysphere、Fazed on a Pony、Space Bats, Attack!、Asta Rangu 等等。

以猛烈炸裂的現場表演聞名，Dale Kerrigan 在攻擊性與脆弱感之間保持著精準有力的平衡 —— 從歇斯底里的段落跌入脆弱短暫的寧靜片刻。這些年他們在新西蘭大小場地和音樂節中狂野穿梭，如 Camp A Low Hum、DANKFEST 和 Cuba Dupa，也曾為本地重要樂隊 Wax Chattels、Womb、Carb on Carb 等擔任暖場嘉賓，逐漸積累起一批忠實樂迷。

樂隊的創作血脈延續自 Sonic Youth、PJ Harvey、也延續自 Opposite Sex、Human Susan、Cuck 等 “后達尼丁音墻” 風格的本地傳奇。他們的音樂像水一樣流動 —— 穿過變奏錯落的編排，爆發出混亂失控的反饋聲響，最終讓觀眾耳鳴心跳，恍然若失。

繼首張專輯《Noise Bitch》（2021）和第二張專輯《The Water》（2022）之后，Dale Kerrigan 即將在 2025 年 8 月推出第三張全長專輯《Heavy Greasy》。該專輯由本地音響師 Gloria Cescon（Pretty Dumb）錄制，并由 Nick Roughan（Skeptics）母帶處理。這張專輯在達尼丁的兩間合租公寓低成本完成，也是他們迄今為止最精細的一次聲音探索與呈現 —— 這是一些關于幽閉空間、友情與焦慮的聲音紀實，拒絕光滑統一的套路，從而擁抱更粗糙、人性、真實的表達。

今年夏天，Dale Kerrigan 將暫別打工人生，開啟他們的首次國際巡演 —— 中國巡演即將到來。

Dale Kerrigan is a four-piece noise rock band from ōtepoti, Aotearoa (Dunedin, New Zealand). Taking their name from the cult Australian comedy film The Castle, Dale Kerrigan are as self-deprecating as they are impossible to pin down (or find online).

Led by guitarist and vocalist Shlee Nicholls, alongside Joel Field (guitar, vocals), Connor Blackie (bass), and Josh Nicholls (drums), their sound is a collision of noise, grunge, shoegaze, post-hardcore and emo — channeling the dank energy of Dunedin living rooms and angst of South Island winters into a sonic palette of their own.

Dale Kerrigan is the jewel in the Crown of Dunedin’s local music universe. Born from the industrial detritus of DIY spaces like the Attic and Spaceland in 2021, the band are active in countless bands including Koizilla, Pearly*, Flesh Bug, bathysphere, Fazed on a Pony, Space Bats, Attack!, Asta Rangu and more, deeply involved in the community surrounding the independent label trace / untrace.

Known for their blistering live shows, Dale strikes a powerful balance between aggression and vulnerability — from frenetic breakdowns to moments of fragile calm. After years of tearing through New Zealand venues and festivals like Camp A Low Hum, DANKFEST, and Cuba Dupa, plus playing support for local names like Wax Chattels, Womb and Carb on Carb, the band have developed a cult following around the country.

With a creative lineage that traces from Kim Gordon and PJ Harvey to fellow post-Dunedin Sound bands Opposite Sex, Human Susan and Cuck, Dale Kerrigan’s music moves like water: flowing through off-kilter arrangements, erupting into chaotic feedback, and leaving listeners in a state of ear-ringing, head banging stupor.

Following their first two albums Noise Bitch (2021) and The Water (2022), Dale Kerrigan will release their third full-length album, Heavy Greasy in August 2025.

Recorded on a low budget across two Dunedin flats with local engineer Gloria Cescon (Pretty Dumb) and mastered by Nick Roughan (Skeptics), Heavy Greasy is their most meticulous offering to date — exploring claustrophobic rooms, friendship and anxiety with brutal honesty, rejecting polished sameness in favour of something more dissonant and human.
