As autumn nears, it’s time to celebrate the deluge of new sounds that have been comforting, wooing, and rapturing us this year. Both a nod and subversion to the ‘Indian Summer’ - when the afterglow of summer lingers over the new season - and also an ode to the new crop of bands that look to make their mark in the forthcoming seasons, LiveChinaMusic and Yuyintang present Indien Summer - a two-day jam-packed, rollicking parcel of indie rock, post punk, psych rock, dream pop, emo rock, shoegaze and hot-blooded rock and roll. But that’s not all, as we look to keep those festival vibes toasty and grooving with a market featuring booths of vinyl, CDs, cassette tapes, and zines to stockpile. Enjoy DJs spinning your new favorite autumn jams and more as we look to jump headfirst into the new season with our heads held high.

Day one at Specters kicks leans into the more jagged edges of rock and roll with a spread of acts that will burrow under your skin and shake you to the core. A powder keg of post punk, punk, hard rock, psych, surf rock, and rock and roll’s more combustible offshoots, with some of this scene’s best new acts, including Chuanshan Youth, Fiery Medusa, and Moya, joining seasoned acts like The Psyders, Yepusa, and Navel.
